BeanBag

Lennon got a beanbag for his birthday--Walmart sells the foam beads online and all the other materials were from Joanns.  Lennon loves it!!
He uses it to read his books:
 And cuddle time with Daddy:

Big Sister/Little Sister Shirts

I made these shirts for a friend of a friend who is adopting a little girl from China.  I know the amazing anticipation of expanding your family during a pregnancy, but I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation of adoption is just as wonderful--such a blessing!!

The applique fabric and materials are from Joanns.
The short sleeve shirt is from Hobby Lobby:
And the long sleeve is from Target:

Can't wait to see pictures of these 2 beautiful little girls in their shirts!

Lennon's Quilt

Lennon made the transition to his 'Big Boy' bed wonderfully!  And to christen his new bed, he got a new quilt.  I originally picked up the jungle fabric at Joanns as a remnant and was planning on making a pillowcase for him--he had other plans for it and asked if I would make him a blanket.  I wasn't instantly on board with the idea, especially since he hated using blankets at the time, when he was still in his crib.  But I took the challenge and headed back to Joanns for more fabric!
I don't know what was going through my mind when I decided to make my very first quilt without a pattern--I just wanted to eyeball it.  It started out fine, but as the quilt got bigger and I had to fit the pieces together, I began to realize the ridiculousness of it all!  But it turned out great, and, more importantly, Lennon loves it!
Lennon knows it's his very own by the applique at the bottom, with his name and birthday.
A lot of times he likes to sleep with the quilt upside down so that he can see his name!

Big Annoucement!

November 2011
As some of you may already know, our family will be expanding in June! Lennon will be a big brother and is very excited about it. Nine times out of ten, he says he's having a baby sister and he says how he's going to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle" and "ABCs" to the baby.
I've been a lot more sick with this pregnancy and Lennon takes really good care of me. He always makes sure I have a Jolly Rancher to make my tummy feel better and he is quick to remind me that, "Mama's sick because the baby in your tummy."
He's going to be a great big brother!
 10 Months Later.....
Reality has set in, Lennon has a 3 month-old little sister and he's still loving it!
He does great when she's crying and loves to shower her with hugs and kisses when she's not crying.  He has no problem sharing Mommy with Tesla--it's sharing Daddy that seems to be the issue!  But since Tesla currently has eyes only for her mommy, it's working out right now!
I know there will be numerous transitions ahead...we'll see how Lennon handles his sister getting into his things in a few months!!
